DISCOVER UTILA'S UNDERWATER TREASURE!

Diving has been an integral part of Utila´s history for many years, form the early days of treasure hunters looking for pirate treasure, to today’s modern traveler looking for adventure and relaxation in and around the beautiful blue waters of Utila.

As well as being an active PADI and DAN member, Captain Morgan´s is a founding member of the Utila Dive Safety & Environmental Council, which is committed to enhancing diver safety and preserving the reef for generations to come.

SCUBA DIVE ON THE LARGEST BARRIER REEF SYSTEM IN THE  NORTHERN HEISPHERE!

As part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, which stretches from Mexico southward to Honduras, the largest barrier-reef system in the Northern Hemisphere, Utila’s reefs offer some of the most spectacular diving and animal encounters in the Caribbean. Gentle fringing reefs with beautiful soft coral gardens, sand patches and shallow walls decorated with hard corals dominate the South Side of Utila. The North Side is home to bottomless shear walls encrusted in sponges and hard corals and teeming with fish and off-shore pelagic encounters. The island also has a selection of wonderful off-shore sea-mounds and wrecks to explore.
