Accommodations - Not Just Sea Side, We're Reef Side!!!

Hotel Kayla is located on idyllic Jewel Cay (pronounced "key"), which is connected to its neighbour Pigeon Cay by a small foot bridge. The two cays are mostly populated by fishermen and their families creating a charming village of over 700 friendly locals for a authentic Caribbean island experience. The hotel's location on the eastern tip of the cay takes full advantage of the prevailing east wind and as such is virtually free of mosquitoes and sand flies! This coupled with the lack of motorized traffic (there is none) really makes this a unique location. The Cays can cater to all your daily needs with 6 restaurants, 4 bars and 6 general stores to choose from, as well as an internet cafe and a gym - the only thing missing is an ATM.

  Hotel Kayla is 5 Dollars a night (including Snorkel Gear and Kayaking) for our divers!

Hotel Kayla has 6 twin rooms and 2 triple rooms all with private bathrooms and fans. Priority for these rooms are given to our diving guests with special rates for students. Accommodations are on a shared basis for single travellers. Private rooms are provided for couples. A single person private room is $15 per night, when available. The hotel lounge is spacious and comfortable with music and DVD facilities for your listening and viewing pleasure. However since you are sure to be outside most of the time our large front porch and two tiered deck can handle as much hammock and sun-bathing time as you can. The best snorkeling and kayaking are only a few steps away as the reef starts at the end of our sun deck.

Other accommodations are available, including Kayla II, Lone Star hotel and 2 private cays (Sandy Cay and Little Cay) for rent. All of Captain Morgan's facilities are available to our customers no matter where you stay. No trip to Utila is complete without a stay on these relaxing and beautiful Cays. Trips to the beautiful sandy beaches are only a short boat ride and can be easily arranged.
