After you finish your Open Water course ask us about out many SSI Diving Specialty Programs like the SSI Assistant Instructor program.

SSI React Right

The SSI React Right program is SSI’s emergency training program, consisting of the following basic components: Primary Assessment, First Aid & CPR Skills, Primary Stabilization Techniques, and includes two optional components: Oxygen Administration in Diving Emergencies and Automated External Defibrillation Basics. Students who complete this program earn the SSI React Right specialty certification.

Participating in a this program will significantly increase your safety and comfort during diving. SSI and other training agencies also require a valid first aid and resuscitation certificate as a condition for the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue certification.

The online digital student material contains all the reference material. This allows you to easily learn all the theoretical knowledge. You will be guided by a REACT RIGHT Instructor through all practical skills.

What are we going to do in our SSI React Right program:

By participating in our React Right program at Captain Morgan’s Dive Center on Utila, you will master the first aid skills needed to help in many situations. This course is valuable for everyone, even for non-divers!

The training consists of two parts. The first part is theoretical and can be taken online with the SSI Digital Learning.

Don’t worry, your SSI React Right Instructor will have an informal class with you and reinforce anything you might not understand.

In the second part you will go through all the skills and practice with your Instructor!

The program includes as main guidelines:

First assessment
First Aid & resuscitation skills (CPR)
Primary stabilization techniques
Supplying oxygen in diving emergency (O2)
Automatic external base defibrillation (AED)

Minimum Age: 12

The course includes the follow:

All SSI digital materials
Certification fees
Rental Equipment for duration of course
Unlimited Confined Water Sessions
Open Water Sessions: Dependent on each individual student.
